Beginning his career as a CareFlite Paramedic in July 2014, Matt quickly established himself in critical care and emergency response. His role evolved at Mansfield Fire Rescue as an Engineer/Paramedic from July 2017, where he contributed significantly to fire and EMS services. In May 2023, he took on the role of a Medical Specialist with Texas Task Force 2, specializing in urban search and rescue during disasters. Matt's academic background includes a Bachelor's in Fire and EMS-based administration and ongoing studies for a Master's in Public Administration. He holds several certifications, including as a TCFP Intermediate Firefighter and registered Paramedic. His involvement with MVP underscores his understanding of the unique challenges faced by first responders and their families. As he prepares for fatherhood, Matt's personal experiences further enrich his empathy and dedication to the well-being of those in similar high-stress professions.
