Amber Campbell

Amber’s journey into Fire and EMS services began in her home state of CA in 2003. Her early years after that were spent in various roles gaining experience as a Firefighter/EMT. In 2009 she met her husband, Will, an active-duty Marine and Texan. Not long after, she stepped back from her formative career and sprang into the humbling years as an active-duty military wife and mother to their four children. After a decade in hiatus from Fire and EMS services, Amber was ready to earn another opportunity in the fire service. In 2020, she put herself back in school to receive her Paramedic license and once again, embraced a fresh start into the fire service. She was hired by Mansfield Fire Department in 2022. Amber has a drive for peer support and helping remove the social stigma attached to mental health and mental health outreach that is prevalent in the fire service and first responder world. She understands that conversations about our mental health well-being, and access to mental health resources, do not need to be complicated or obscure. Most importantly, when resources are needed, they should be easily and readily accessible for first responders and their families, too.
